MEET & GREET Management Club
Assalamualaikum and hello ๐ Ain here. I had joined an activity named 'explorace' which was held by the Management Club under the Faculty of Economics and Management. The activity began early in the morning. When I reached the place, I registered myself for the activity and got a bread and a drink for breakfast. Then, all participants need to gather, and we were divided into groups. However, the method of dividing the group was different and interesting. Why? We received a piece of paper, and on the paper it stated the name of the group, such as Ular, Burung, Harimau etc. We had to find our team member who has the same group name by not making any sounds ๐ฑ๐ฎ So, we had to mimic the action like a bird, snake, tiger, etc. The situation was a bit chaotic, although we didn't make any sounds. My group is Burung. In my group, there were 8 members, all girls. To be honest, I was initially skeptical of my team. You know, because all girls. But I underestimated girls' power. I will explain more in the next paragraph.
In addition, we did a variety of activities such as bringing the bottle by using the rope with our eyes closed, finding members of the faculty committee and taking a selfie with them in the required pose, flipping the bottle, and so on. While doing all the activities, we actually had one main mission, which was protecting the biscuit that was given to us. The biscuit was the important thing in the explorace. No matter how extreme the game, we need to protect the biscuit until the end of the explorace, The biscuit needs to be perfect, as we received it earlier. Before doing any games, we had to do our cheers. As for my group, we chirp like birds, as our team is Burung. It was fun doing that together. My team members were all hyperactive. We did as much as we could to win.
Next, when all the games are over, it's time to announce the winner. At first, I had a gut feeling that my group would be the winner, as we were the loudest group during all the activities. However, half of me feels like we will not win as there are many more groups that are more competent than my group. The groups have guys, and their team members are more than my group, like 10 of them. Surprisingly, unexpectedly, shockingly, and in more bombastic words I could say, MY GROUP, BURUNG HAS WON THE EXPLORACE!!!!!! IT WAS UNEXPECTED as I had underestimated my own group. What were my emotions like? Of course, I was so happy, excited, and proud. I'm proud of my team members because of their spirit. Such a good experience with them.
What did I gain from the explorace? I found that teamwork is a must when you are doing something that requires you to cooperate with people. You must give your contribution to your team as well as your team members. Other than that, I realized that we need to think before we do or act. If you think before you act, talk, or whatever it is, it will deliver the best version of your actions, etc. For example, as mentioned above, in the game, players need to bring the bottle with their eyes closed while using the rope to reach a specific location. It requires a strategy to reach the destination smoothly. You can't just bring it blindly. Second, about the biscuit. You need to think and plan on how to protect the biscuit, as the games mostly require movements. Last but not least, you need to be responsible. As for the biscuit, you need to be responsible to protect it and give it back to the committee members without any damages.
So that's the end of this post. Hope you enjoy reading this. Talk soon! - Ain
