My first impressions in UKM! πŸ’—

Hello and assalamualaikum readers!! It's Putri here. I'm back! Hehe πŸ˜ Today's stories, I wanted to tell you guys about my first day in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, so here goes! Starting university may be a very intimidating experience, and feelings are frequently high. While we're living the time of your life, we're also probably moving away from home, so you'll undoubtedly feel a mix of emotions. But luckily I live in Bangi and study also in Bangi πŸ˜‚πŸ«ΆπŸ» Well, I can go back home every time I want 😝

Checkout my video below to see me temporarily separated from the family πŸ˜‚β¬‡οΈ

I arrived late cause I thought I will made it before 4:00pm. But I arrived at 4:15pm like that and I was so rush while unpacking my stuff in to my new room because we had programs at 5:00pm. Eventho in rush, I still had time to visit Aida's room just one floor below my room πŸ˜‚ Aida is my closest friends during my diploma at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah and until today, I'm very grateful that we got in our dream University together, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Plus, we also got the same college too 😭

Back to the story, I seek help from Aida to joined me unpack my stuff so it make unpacking process become more faster. Thanks to Aida for that. While unpacking, someone knock the door and guess who?! I finally meet my new roommate! Her name is Nureen Nabilah. Well truth to be told, I was lucky to have her as my roommate as she's kind and cute too!

At 5:00pm we went to Dewan Kolej Keris Mas for the first college meeting. The orientation week which called Minggu Apresiasi Watan (MAW) started here. We've been introduced to all of our facilitators that will helping us throughout this orientation week. They also talk about life in UKM, their experience and more. After the programs end, I went back to my room to have my shower, pray and sleep. Honestly, the first day has already been tiring day!

On the second and third day of the orientation week, we went to Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR) and we've been exposed about all of the information that we need to know as a student of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This include course, graduation matters, course registration, and more. There's also my cousin, Azrul Amirul there where he, as an Ikon UKM of Jati Diri & Patriotisme giving us a talk about his experience his education at UKM that make him what he has become today which is inspector of police officer. I'm a proud cousin πŸ‘€ Moreover, during those day, we've also attend the Faculty's program which at respective faculties as they talk about an exposure about the faculty.

Next, on the fourth day, early in the morning we've been instructed to walk to Dewan Gemilang UKM to do aerobics.

The moment πŸ’—

Then, we went back to DECTAR to hear another talk which basically about the facilities in UKM such as Pusat Kesihatan Universiti, Perpustakaan Tun Seri Lanang (PTSL) and more. At the end of the day, we watched parade from each college at Stadium UKM for UKM Sihat's program.

Last but not least, the most awaited day has finally comes, which is the last day of orientation week, Minggu Apresiasi Watan (MAW). There's UKM student pledge where we are required to wear Baju Kurung in blue with scarf and white hijab during the pledge. Next, we also watched performances such as from the culture domain which they are among the new student's too and has been selected during the first day of Minggu Apresasi Watan. Honestly, it has become the sweetest memories for me here. To be continued....

Do you guys wanna know why and what else happen during that day? Please your comment below! I'll share it soon, talk later 😘

xoxo,
Putri
